Kristen Pilner Blair

Kristen Blair is a researcher in the AAA Lab. Her primary interests are in children's early mathematical cognition and development and how technology can be used to improve math learning. She approaches these topics from a variety of angles, including developing iPad apps and Teachable Agent software to help students learn mathematical concepts, studying children's informal use of mathematics in family settings, and examining the neural mechanisms underlying mathematical cognition. She earned a bachelor's degree in Mathematical and Computational Science from Stanford, as well as a PhD in Learning Sciences and Technology
